Function on NH-8, Dwarka Expressway Connection to Begin Shortly

Gurgaon: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will take over the Street from Hero Honda Chowk into Umang Bhardwaj Chowk and Begin redevelopment work Shortly, the Officers Advised Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) Through an Inspection meeting on Friday.

The whole project involves the 5.8km stretch out from NH-8 and Dwarka Expressway in which two flyovers — you at Basai Chowk, another at Umang Bhardwaj Chowk, also a railroad over-bridge near Basai village along with an underpass in Khandsa street crossing will be constructed.
The job also includes widening of this street by Umang Bharadwaj Chowk into Dwarka Expressway.
The project has been produced by GMDA and NHAI together.
While the initial 2 kms involving Hero Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk is going to be carried out by the NHAIand also the remainder of the stretch is going to be manufactured by GMDA.
The stretch is going to be redeveloped from the Rewari project implementation unit (PIU) of NHAI.
“We’ve requested GMDA to handover the encumbrance-free property to utilize before we start mobilising and provisioning our tools.
According to our data, it is going to take another 1 month to consider over the stated stretch.
After we receive it, we will conduct a questionnaire and so start the job,” said a senior officer of NHAI Rewari PIU.
“The job was postponed because GMDA didn’t discharge the funds .
Additionally, we needed encumbrance-free land.
It seems like we will have the ability to start work from July and finish it 2023,” that the NHAI official added.
GMDA, on its own part, has promised to ease the move of this property and make sure that public utilities have been changed in the earliest to prevent any additional delay in the job.
“We’ve directed all agencies to reevaluate the job and eliminate all of the public utilities decreasing in the middle of this job work,” explained GMDA CEO Sudhir Rajpal.
