Funds have nothing to do with Punjab polls: Amarinder Singh

Chandigarh: Chairman of the Punjab of Captain Minister Amarinder Singh, on Tuesday, said the AAM AADMI Party (AAP) and Shiromani Aamali Dal (Sad) lay on the blatant and that the funds given to the congress have nothing to do with the election of Punjab or controversial power purchase agreements (PPA) signed by aceis.
Political contributions by certain electrical companies were made not to carry out Punjab Congress but to the Indian Congress Committee (AICC) in 2009 and 2014, without any connection with the petting government in the state, Amarinder said.
He also slammed sad and AAP to “spread lies in a desperate effort to mislead people ahead of the state assemblies in 2022.” The PPA in question has been signed by the first SAD-BJP government and legally binding, so that the Congress government cannot cancel this without severe punishment in countries that lack money, Amarinder said.
He said his government was exploring legal streets to neutralize the adverse effects of PPAS without burdling state states, which were allegedly, BJP’s BJP and allies they turned red to fill their own pockets.
According to media reports, Akalis, led by Badal, has taken more than Rs 100 Crore in political funds and is declared only RS 13 Crore, bagging the rest.
As for AAP, the donation taken by the Arvind Kejriwal Party during the 2014 election was below the US Enforcement Directorate Scanner (ED), unlike funds donated to AICC by private electricity companies, this was not taken into account or stated, he was suspected.
He also mentioned the latest report that Ed had registered a case related to four checks of 50 lakh Rs, allegedly given to AAP during the 2014 Delhi Assembly election.
