LONDON: The leak document has revealed for the first time a major operation that will be launched in hours and the day after British Queen Elizabeth II died.
Deatils “Operation London Bridge” leaked to ‘Politico’, who reported that officials would refer to the day the Queen died as “D Day”.
The king had to be buried 10 days after he died and his heir, Prince Charles, will start a tour in England before the funeral was held.
According to the plan, the late Sovereign coffin will lie in the country for three days in parliamentary homes, with authorities anticipate hundreds of thousands of people to get off in London to appreciate.
Extensive security operations have been planned to manage crowds that have never been before and travel chaos.
There will also be “spontaneous” services in the St Paul Cathedral, according to Politico.
British PM and the king said agreed that the country’s funeral day would be a national mourning day.
It will effectively be a holiday, although it is not described so.
Buckingham’s palace refused to comment on the leak.
