Ludhiana: Shiroman Akali Dal (Sad) President Sukhbir Singh Badal said the next SAD-BSP government would order an investigation of embezzlement of Mnrega funds by the leader of the Congress and spend the money on public work.
The sad president, who talked about the meeting in this election on Sunday, said the leaders of Congress had misused Mnrega funds in a tone of thousands of crores by spoiling false bills and charging for tiles, pavers and other construction work.
He said the leader of Congress has opened their tile and paver factories and supplied standard materials to be used in government work.
“All the errors will be investigated and corruption cases will be registered against the guilty”, he added.
Sukhbir Badal said he also received complaints that the grain market was closed prematurely when rice plants were still not harvested throughout the state.
“This is done under pressure from the center”, Badal said adding now farmers will be forced to sell short.
Badal also highlighted how the government really did not realize the spread of dengue fever in the state.
He said cases of dengue fever had crossed a sign of 20,000 but nothing was done to control the spread.
“The government behaves the same way as done during Covid pandemics where more than 17,000 Punjabis loses life”.
Talking about the aam aadmi party (AAP), Badal said it was Convener Arvind Kejriwal was trying to cheat Punjabis in the same way as the captain Amarinder Singh before.
“Kejriwal goes down in Punjab every two weeks to preach guarantees.
It seems like he doesn’t believe anyone in the state unit to stand with a guarantee, don’t mind the fact that he also hasn’t been able to fulfill the promises made for the people of Delhi”.
