New Delhi: Cricketer-Big-BJP Politician Gautam Gambir on Saturday inaugurated the fourth ‘Jan Rasoi’ here aimed at providing nutritious and healthy food with those who need at the symbolic price of Rs 1 per meal.
The fourth ‘Jan Rasoi’ was launched in Shakarpur in the Laxmi Nagar assembly segment under the constituency of Delhi Lok Sabha.
MP BJP has planned to open at least one Jan Rasoi – Community Kitchen – to provide healthy and nutritious food at Rs 1 per meal at each of the 10 assembly segments under the election.
So far, this kitchen has been opened at Gandhi Nagar, Ashok Nagar and Vinod Nagar, said a statement from the Gautam office.
Gambir accompanied by the National Secretary General of BJP Dushyant Gautam inaugurated Jan Rasoi who was established by repeating a dump shop left in the city corporation in Shakarpur.
This kitchen has received a “incredible response” that serves more than 3,000 people every day with just one rupee per meal.
Most beneficiaries belong to the poorest part of the community are highly affected by Covid-19 and Kuncian pandemics, he said.
“This is my job as a public representative to make the life of the most deprived part easier and this is a vision behind the kitchen of this community,” said the statement quoted by Gambir.
