Gadchiroli Police Demonstrate Protesters Surjagarh, Capturing Leaders

Written by news2in

Nagpur: In the highlight of the high voltage in the morning, the Gadchiroli police on Friday picked up six leaders ‘Thiya Andolan’ which was ongoing in Etapalli Taluka to mining in the Gadchiroli district, including the Surjagarh project, and broke the protest.
This has been a problem that is contested in the heat between administration and the masses in the district affected by Maois.
The day ago, the Sanjay Meena collector and SP Ankit Goyal had met Agitators, convincing to help take their worries with the right authority.
On October 25, around 4,000 to 7,000 protesters had gathered in Etapalli to voice their anxiety against mining leases given to Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited (LMEL) in Surjagarh, and to 25 other companies elsewhere.
Protesters gathered at Etapalli, from which the controversial Surjagarh mine was almost 15 km.
Although most protesters have gone after protests, around 300-strange have decided to stay on the site of Andolan.
This has caused alarm in the district government and the police department, when they suspect protesters, such as farmer agitation near New Delhi, plans to camp on the site for an unlimited period.
After the arrest of a member of the Moaist Action Team and a village volunteer, the police department also depends on the fingers to keep their custody in their rebels and sympathizers inside and around the location of the protest.
In this tense atmosphere, Meena and SP goyal collectors must submit to the demands of the agitators to meet them at the location of the protest.
Previously, on October 25, the Sub-Division Judge (HR) and Project Officer Shubham Gupta had received a memorandum from protesters.
After the meeting on Thursday, when the agitators and their leaders refused to succumb, the district administration and the police department formed a strategy to expel protesters.
HR Gupta issued a notification based on part 144 criminal procedure code (CRPC) late on Thursday night, banning the assembly of four or more.
Empowered by notice, Gadchiroli police entered the agitator camp site when they were sleeping, after making an announcement urging them to leave the place immediately.
Members of Zilla Parisu Sainu Gota, his wife Sheila, activists such as Ramdas Jarate, his wife Jayashree, Nitin Pala and Amol Markawar were arrested.
Another ZP member, Laksu Narote left the place just before the police in the camp.
Lalsu then said the police disturbed their ‘right to protest’.
“Agitation is ongoing the most peaceful and without law and his behavior.
Even though we protested mining, mining trucks pass through our venue without obstacles.
Even after working with the district administration and their police forcibly expelled protesters,” he said.
SP Goyal said the police were peacefully dealing with this situation, without using strength.
“We have the most responsible and respectful dealing with protesters.
Even those who were arrested were allowed to seek guarantees,” he said, adding no need to camp and protest when their complaints were heard, and now it will be sent ahead.
The source also said some agitators provided vehicles by police to return to their distant villages.
It learned a lot of agitators had not returned home, but had been camping in the villages and hamlets adjacent, waiting for their leaders back from police custody.
