Nagpur: Head of Wildlife Warden (CWLW) Sunil Limaye has given permission to capture the problem of Gadchiroli Tiger, which is fatally attacked at least five people.
However, experts, fear, human-animal conflicts can worsen with at least 10 leopard problems captured from Chandrapur dumped in a little tribal district of the past year.
On September 2, CWLW issued an order to capture one of the sub-adult boys from Tigress with four children.
On August 31, permission was given to arrest the tiger from Halda in Bramhapuri under alleged political pressure.
The leopard problem from here was released at Gadchiroli in mid-August without following any protocols.
NGOs ask whether the leopard is an animal problem and captured, why is a tiger captured from the same area? Forest Conservator (CF) Kishore Malekar said that two-year-old tigers engaged in Porla and WADSA ranged in Gadchiroli responsible for three human killings in the last 10 days.
Mankar said they had identified “perforated animals” from the image of the camera trap.
“Two teams together with the local community were deployed to track Tiger’s problems.
Two cages of traps have been installed in Churchura and Gogaon.
We are looking for the help of a quick rescue team from Tadoba,” said Misskar.
On August 15, Dambaji Dongre from Churchura within the reach of Porla was killed.
On August 19, Nikure Pundlik, Bhikarma within Chatgaon reached by Ramaji Choudhari from Gogaon in Porla on August 25.
Missar said the sub-adult tiger was suspected of killing two people before too.
In the past eight months, seven people have been killed by big cats at Gadchiroli with the latest persecuted by leopards in Yella in the range of Ahermi in 4.
Missar said the victim, Mutta Tekulwar (55), was killed by leopards.
Around 7pm when he would catch fish.
People see leopards in the same area and there are also Pugmarks in place.
Gadchiroli Honor Wildlife Warden Uday Patel said that Yella was the end point of the Aherari range which borders the Wildlife Sanctuary.
As reported by TOI on August 26, at least four leopard problems arrested from the Chandrapur and Bramhapuri division have been issued in Kllandat at Gadchiroli in July-August.
“This further triggers the conflict of human-animals,” Patel said.
In accordance with the evidence with Toi, starting June 14, 2019 to August 31, 2021, nine leopard problems were released at Gadchiroli.
These include six women and three men.
Most of the animals released in the Chaprada wildlife reserve have 36 villages in and around.
The MoeFcc guide said that if at all captured the leopard must be released back to the wild, it must be done within the reach of their homes.
On August 3, the male leopard was trapped in Saoli.
On July 13, he killed a woman when he was sleeping on the front yard of his house.
On July 14, the leopard lured a farmer from Samda when he was working on his farm.
Another woman was persecuted when she was sleeping at her home in Wagholi Bangi on July 20.
Vyahad, Samda, Wagholi Bite, Konapur, and Kapi rolled with the threat of leopards.
