Guwahati: The High Court of Gawahati, said the assessment in the petition submitted by the former Deputy Character Krishna Kanta State Open University (KKHSOU), Kandarpa Das challenged its suspension, refusing to disrupt the issue of department / disciplinary.
The court stated that what was the reason, where the applicant was suspended and the allegations of the discharge, ultimately sustainable or unpound open to be tested during the disciplinary department / process.
The applicant, who is a former director of the Open Distance Institute and Learning (Idol), the University of Gauhati, was placed under the suspension of Kanselir KKHSOU (Assam Governor) after the Comptroller report and Indian General Auditor (CAG) in 2018 revealed a large financial anomalies on behalf of 21 course.
He was appointed as Deputy Chancellor of KKHSOU for a period of three years from 2020.
According to CAG reports, during the period 2010 to 2017, Idol had offered 21 courses, which were not approved by the Statutory Board and the RS 39.06 Crore course had been collected from the students .
The state government has continued the report to Gautati University.
After that, on December 9, 2019, the Gautati University Executive Board has formed a one-person investigation commission to investigate the anomalies mentioned in the CAG report.
