Gajapati closes tourist attractions

Frizzter: The administration of the Gajapati District has closed all tourist attractions starting on Sunday due to increased Covid cases.
Visitors across the state and outside, especially neighbors Andhra Pradesh, visited places such as Mahendragiri, where several ancient temples were located, the monasteries of Buddhists in Jirango’s waterfalls, typhocity and Gandahati and Tibetan settlement in Chandragiri during the winter.
There is a possibility that the spread of infection because of the church in these tourist attractions, when Covid-19 cases in neighboring districts are increasing.
As a preventative step to break the spread of infection, the district government has decided to close all tourist attractions, said a senior officer.
Meanwhile, the total Covid district moved to 9,822 with 32 new cases reported on Sunday.
The total number of active cases in this district has 60.
All active cases do not show symptoms and are in the quarantine of the house.
