‘Gandhi Odu Abhiyana’ gets momentum in Kundapur

Udupi: ‘Gandhi Odu Abhiyana’ is a campaign to encourage children to learn and understand the life of Mahatma Gandhi.
As many as 1,000 children from various secondary schools in Kundapur are part of this reading campaign launched by Samudaya, a cultural organization.
As part of the campaign, launched on October 2 last year, the first set of students was on Monday submitting the book ‘Makkaligagi Mahatma’ (Mahatma for Children), written and illustrated by Uday Gaonkar – a science teacher in the Government Middle School, Siddapur and Country leader, Bharat Gyan Vigyan Samiti (BGVs), Karnataka.
