Gandhinagar: Workers are beaten to death by managers, aides

Ahmedabad: A 25-year-old worker who works at a plywood manufacturing plant, is exchanged for death by the company’s manager and other workers on Sunday night, at the city of Gandhinagar dehgam.
A police officer Dehgam said The deceased, Rajkumar Rathod, his brother Shiva Rathod along with Sonu Rathod and Subhash Paswan had lived in the factory, Stunica Plywood, near Isanpur Patia in Dehgam for three months.
On Sunday night, Sonu Rathod was talking and laughing loudly, which did not match Mukesh Sharma, factory manager, who scolded Sonu.
“When Sonu said he was talking to his friends and laughed and told Sharma not to disturb.
Angry, Sharma began slapping him.
Along with Sharma, Chunnilal Gurjar also attacked Sonu,” said Inspector J K Rathod from Police Dehgam.
Rathod said to friend Sonu Rajkumar intervened and tried to save him, but Sharma and Gurjar were angry at him too and hit him.
After other worker interventions, both left.
Around 10pm on Sundays, Sharma and Gurjar returned with sticks and iron rods, the first time they attacked Rajkumar and then Sonu.
When he heard the shouts of both, other workers rushed there and Sharma and Gurjar managed to escape.
According to the police, Rajkumar suffered an injury to his head and his nose, while Sonu’s hand was injured.
Both were taken to the hospital in Dehgam, where Rajkumar was declared dead.
Sonu is treated at this time, Rathod said.
He said Sharma and Gurjar were arrested and charged with murder.
