Bhubaneswar: Publishing Guidelines for Puja Ganesh in the city, which will be held on September 10, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has rejected public participation during the celebration.
According to the guideline, the trial during the festival will not be permitted in the BMC jurisdiction.
The committee must follow the Covid-19 norm, such as social distance, wearing masks and sanitis, while doing puja in mandaps.
The organizer also needs to take permission from the officer concerned, authorized by the police commissioner, in this case.
“Pujas can be done indoors without public participation, POMP or Grandeur,” BMC guidelines said.
Mandaps will be closed on three sides with one side open to enter and exit the priest and organizers, “said BMC.
The Civic body has instructed that idols should not be more than four feet and the public address system will not be used during puja or other times during the festival.
“There is no time point, more than seven people, including priests / organizers / support staff, will be permitted in Mandaps.
People need to follow the behavior that matches Covid in the mandaps.
People who are fully vaccinated will be permitted in Puja, “he added.
There is no procession that will be held this year.
Puja organizers are asked to immerse idols in artificial ponds that will be created by BMC, the manual said Educational institutions and coaching centers, a maximum of 20 people will be permitted.
What is permitted must maintain a social distance in the Puja Room / Space, the guideline said.
The party or Prasad Sevan will not be permitted, he added.
