Prayagraj: Cyber cells from the District Police and Cantonment Police claim to have damaged cyber criminal gangs between countries and arrested three people in the Cantonment Police Station area on Saturday.
The alley is involved in activating the SIM card using documents obtained illegally or falsely and gives them other criminals to commit cyber crimes.
A large number of SIM cards, fake Aadhaar cards and illegally obtained, finger printing machines, laptops and cash with Rs 24,600 also recovered, police said.
Efforts are now ongoing to respond to four other gang members, the police added.
According to SSP-Prayagraj Ajay Kumar, the people arrested were identified as Iqbal Ahmad from Lakhimpur Kheri, Kalish Ahmad from Lucknow.
So far, the people who were arrested claimed to have provided around 5000 SIM cards to fellow gang members, he said.
