Gang entered TN Store, escaped with 15kg gold

Vellore: The unknown gang entered the popular jewelry showroom in Vellore on the night intervention Tuesday and Wednesday and escaped with more than 15 kg of gold and 500g diamond jewelery.
According to the police, the thieves drilled a hole in the back wall of Jos Alukkas’s showroom located on Jalan Katpadi who was busy in Vellore City after being closed for business around 10pm on Tuesday.
The gang fell asleep with expensive diamonds and gold jewelry shown at the exhibition on the ground floor of a three-story building, leaving bigger jewelry and not too expensive.
Four security men, who were on duty, and the staff of the showroom who lived on the second floor of the building said they did not hear anything unusual, police said.
The theft was revealed when the staff opened the store on Wednesday.
A police team led by G Babu, Vellore Range Dig, and Vellore Police Inspector S Rajesh Kannan reached the place and made the initial question.
They checked a dozen recording CCTV cameras in the showroom but the picture was not clear because the thief had sprayed black or foam paint on the camera.
The police have begun to collect recordings from CCTV cameras installed near the store to identify suspects.
The team found a wig that was allegedly used by thieves who entered the store through the hole.
His helper may have been waiting outside to collect booty, police said.
A sniffer dog is pressed into service.
A team of forensic experts combed the crime scene instructions for instructions.
“As per early estimates, 15kg gold jewelry and 500 g of diamond jewelry is stolen from the store.
Records from CCTV are not clear because some paints or foam as sprayed on them, but one masked man looks stealing jewelry.
We haven’t confirmed whether a single thief or gang Involved in crime.
We have formed four special teams led by ASPS and DSP to capture everything involved in crime, “said Rajesh Kannan.
In general, ordinary workers keep valuables in a safe locker when they close the shop, but during the festive season such as Diwali and Christmas they left jewelry at showing off, police said.
The police have begun to collect fingerprints of workers to check whether there are workers involved in the crime.
