Ludhiana: The police on Sundays damaged the gang that faked aadhaar cards.
The defendant carried out illegal trade from the telecommunications store in the new Mahavir Mahavir colony.
The arrest is Jaswinder Singh from Lohara and Dheeraj Kumar from Sahnewal.
Jaswinder has a shop called Akash Telecom in New Mahavir Colony.
Police Kanganwal Post In-Charge ASI Gagandeep Singh said, “We received information that the defendant sold a fake aadhaar card.
They also have fake stamps to make fake ID evidence.
We carried out an attack on the store and arrested the duo.
We have restored fake stamps and machines Used in making fake aadhaar cards.
“The defendant had run an illegal business over the past six months.
“In Akash Telecom, they also sell SIM cards.
Allegedly that they sell SIM cards on fake ID evidence and aadhaar cards and this is further used in carrying out fraud and other crimes,” ASI added.
He said the police would overcome a press conference on Monday after interrogating the defendant.
The case has been registered under the 420 section (cheat), 465 (punishment for forgery), 468 (forgery for cheating purposes), 473 (making or having fake seals etc.
with the intention to do forgery), 476 (forgery device or sign used for Questioning documents) and 34 (Act is carried out by several people in the continuation of IPC’s general intentions).
