New Delhi: Delhi Police have arrested a member of the alleged 26 years from when Jathedi Geng attended a brief conversation of fire in Baba Haridas Nagar on Friday.
The man was arrested allegedly tried to Hospital 20 Lakh squeeze from a man in Jathedi’s name and recently fired a shot at his home to threaten him, said the senior police.
The man was arrested has been identified as Iqbal aka Mikku, a resident of Roshan Pura in Najafgarh.
He was involved earlier in eight criminal cases, including theft and under the Arms law, police said.
Balvinder complainants, residents of Baba Haridas Enclave, told the police that ignoring the call of extortion, several men fired outside his home.
DCP (Dwarka) Shankar Choudhary said the police received input on Friday that Iqbal gang members alias Mikku, who were involved in extortion and shooting cases, will come to Dichaon on the road to fulfill his colleagues.
