Ludhiana: The CIA-2 of Ludhiana Komisarier on Sunday claimed to have broken the garbage gang, with the arrest of three members.
Motorbikes were stolen and 15 cellphones were restored from the ownership of the Karnil Singh, 50, from Chaunta Village, the slanting ritition of Mishra, 22, from Gonda Up and Kumar Harish, 20, colony models.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Investigation) Pawanjit said, “The trio was arrested from Bajra T-Point on Saturday late at night with a tip-off.
They traveled by bicycles, which were snatched a few days ago at Seeda Road.
They have claimed their involvement in cutting and 15 cellphones have recovered from them.
“Because the three are unemployed and drug addicts, they form a gang.
In the past three and a half months, they have run at least 22 jambs.
They will target workers back home from factories and commuters traveling on isolated roads.
