Mandya: The unknown gang of the stages allegedly tried to attack S Gurucharan, nephew of former Minister of Main BC Krishna in Somanahalli Village on Tuesday night.
According to Gurucharan, the criminals tried to attack him when he objected to the rash driving on Jalan Raya Mysuru-Bengaluru.
Gurucharan was said to be in danger but he escaped to cross when the criminals fled the scene when young people from the village rushed to see the commotion.
Gurucharan told the media people that he would not file a complaint because the crime might behave badly with him in a drunk condition.
A police officer said even though they had not received complaints from Gurucharan, they were looking for criminals and their cars, and they were booked with various costs.
“If Gurucharan submits a case with us, we must take legal action against criminals.
If not, we will register cases against them under different legal provisions including drunk driving, disrupting public peace and so on,” The officer said.
