Ganga recedes still above the danger in Varanasi

Varanasi: Even though the surface of the Ganga water began to fall on Friday, the river still flowed 1 m above the danger sign (71,262m) in Varanasi.
The flood situation was bleak in Ballia, where the river flowed 2.55 m above the danger, and Ghazipur, where Ganga flowed 1.59 m above the danger sign.

CM on Thursday afternoon took stock of floods caused by Ganga and Varuna by the tributary by the NDRF ship.
He has convinced the people affected by the flood that his government is committed to expanding all possible assistance, and asks district officials not to let each stone missed in ensuring the assistance needed for flood-affected people.
Ballia is the worst affected by the flood, because most of the land is submerged under water.

Mirzapur is relatively in a better position, because Ganga flows at a sign of 78.11m, which is 0.39 m above the danger sign (77,724m).
