Varanasi: When the Ganga water was fresh in Varanasi because of a substantial dip in contamination levels throughout the early tide of Covid-19 pandemic and following lockdown, now exactly the identical flow has turned green because of algal bloom.
The altered colour of this flow in the last two days has become a surprise to the regional inhabitants while also drawing the attention of environmentalists in addition to scientists at the regional division of the UP Pollution Control Board.
