Director has chosen January 6th, 2022, as the date of release, but later it was announced that the film will be released on February 18th, 2022.
Talking about the film, it is a period film, adapted from one chapter of the famous author Hussain Zaidi’s Book, ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’.
It will display in the title role Gangubai Bhatt, one of the most powerful lady, loved and respected from Kamathipura during the 1960s.
In previous interactions with Bombay Times, SLB has been opened on the film.
He said that Gangubai Kathiawadi is a very special movie for him.
Filmmaker stated that it was not easy.
He further added that they made during a pandemic she has given everything and can not wait to share it with everyone.
The film also features Seema Pahwa and had cameo appearances by Ajay Devgn and Huma Qureshi.
