Lucknow: Over the past 16 months, on a journey focused on gangsters, Uttar Pradesh police have won the property worth RS 1,128 Crore owned by 22,259 Gangster in all states.
According to the police, all confiscated assets were obtained as a result of money obtained through illegal ways and crimes.
It was confiscated under the provisions of the Gangster Law.
Additional Director General of Police (law and orders) Prashant Kumar said they focused on 25 gangsters in the state and took action against them and their hands.
He said 244 members of the Mukhtar Ansari gang, submitted in Banda prison, was placed behind their bars and property worth RS 194 Crore confiscated.
“A total of 122 weapons licenses belonging to his aides Ansari was suspended on the way,” he said.
Likewise, citing actions against Don Atiq Ahmad, nesting in the Sabarmati prison, property worth RS 325 Crore from 60 of his hands confiscated, added the officer.
The property worth RS 63 Crore, belonging to the nine legs of the bhati Sunder criminal, was also confiscated.
Likewise, the property worth RS 18 Crore owned by 24 members related to Gangster Dhruva Kumar aka Kuntu Singh was confiscated.
“We have also identified 515 other criminals in all states and gets 203 firs against them; 300 of them are in prison.
We also have the National Security Law (NSA) nesting against six criminals,” the officer said.
ADG said how effective exemplary cases with the help of prosecution caused the beliefs of the criminals that were toughened like Sanjeev aka Jeeva from Muzaffarnagar, Om Prakash aka Bablooo Srivastava from Lucknow, and Sundar Bhati from Gautam Buddh Nagar.
All of this has more than 30 cases against them.
