Surat: Acting on specific information, Abskon Crime Troops deactivated a gangster from Odisha in Bhestan on Friday.
The defendant went on since May 2018 after being released at Parole 15 days to attend the marriage of his sister.
While in the run, he attacked a rival gang with weapons and bombs in the odisha district of Odisha.
The police arrested Dilip alias Mittu Pradhan, 32, from an apartment at SMC watch in Pandesara.
The accusation hid there without revealing his true identity.
But the police received information that he was a criminal sought in Odisha.
Pradhan was resting at home when the police arrested him and took him to the crime to be questioned.
The photos were distributed with the Odisha police and they confirmed that Pradhan operated his gang in the state.
The police said that Pradhan entered the world of crime at the age of 15 years and has been arrested in 29 cases of attacks, using firearms, throwing bombs, robbery, among others.
He was last arrested in October 2017 and was in prison until May 2018 when he was parole.
He did not return to prison after the prison period ended.
While in the escape he was involved in shooting rival gangs and threw a bomb.
He was ordered in five violations since his release in Parole.
To reach the police, Pradhan escaped from Odisha and shifted to Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Rajasthan before reaching the city.
“He arrived in town seven days ago.
He took refuge in an apartment of a worker who was his friend,” said a police officer.
Pradhan was handed over to the Odisha police.
