Waiting to watch Alia Bhatt as a gangubai in the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Magnum Opus ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ has just been longer.
The film was delayed several times because of a pandemic, it was postponed again.
Only months after the Director chose January 6, 2022, because of the release date, on Monday he announced that the film would now be released on February 18, 2022.
The film period, adjusted from one of the famous authors’ chapters Hussain Zaidi’s Book, ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’, featured Bhatt in the role of Gangubai’s title, one of the most powerful, loved and respected mistresses from Kamathipura during the 1960s.

Interestingly, it was Director of SS Rajamouli who revealed the reason behind the release of a delayed film.
In a tweet, Rajamouli thanks Director Bhansali to delay film release at his request.

However, with SLB agreed to move his release, the films would not be forced to share businesses on the box office.

The film was previously scheduled to arrive in the cinema room on September 11, 2020.
In January 2021, the maker announced that this film would be released around 2021 but the release was postponed again because of the coronavirus pandemic.

‘Gangbai Kathiawadi’ also featured Seema Pahwa and had a cameo appearance by Ajay Devn and Huma Qureshi.
