New Delhi: The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly has expressed his pleasure on the Announcement of the Apex Board to increase the cost of the matches of the domestic players.
On Monday, the APEX board stated that the domestic cricket affected by the 2020-21 Covid season will be paid for an additional 50 percent match fee as compensation for interference and also raises their remuneration for the upcoming season.
“Cricketers who participated in the 2019-20 domestic season will get an additional 50 percent match fee as compensation for the 2020-21 season lost because of the Covid-19 situation,” he said.
On this case, the BCCI head brought to Twitter to share his happiness.
“It is very happy to have an increase in the cost of domestic, male and female players, authorized by the Apex Board today.
They have always been the key to India’s success in Cricket at the international level.” Many Indian crickets fought financially after the trophy Ranji was not held last year for the first time in its history due to Covid-19 pandemic.
