Udaipur: The remnants of mortal Hitendra Garasia, who died in Russia, finally reached The Hometown Goda in Kherwara after 205 days and the last ritual was carried out on Tuesday.
Garasia died in July last year.
The body was initially buried in Russia against the wishes of the family, but excavated and sent to India on Sunday.
After stopping at Jaipur for identification, the body finally reached Godwa on Tuesday afternoon.
The police are deployed and cremated in the presence of members and family relatives.
Garasia, who went to work in Russia, died in a mysterious state.
Kin has demanded that his body return from Russia for a dignified last ceremony.
Kin Garasia has protested in Delhi and after the intervention of the National Secretary General of the Priyanka Gandhi Congress, the body finally reached India.
The bouquets sent by Priyanka Gandhi were also placed on the body of Garasia before the last ritual.
