Garbage collection: ‘Cover the entire PJK at the end of November’

Chandigarh: UT Dharam PAL advisor has asked the Municipal company to cover the entire city in the door garbage collection project to the door in November-end.
The direction was issued during the recent meeting chaired by him and was attended by Commissioner MC Anindita Mitra and other senior administrative officers.
The source said earlier the deadline given by UT adviser was October-end, but MC officials filed that there were still some problems that must be addressed.
The door waste collection project through the MC vehicle was launched in December last year by former UT administrator VP Singh Badnore.
Civic’s body does not cover the city commercial area, 10 colonies of rehabilitation and certain bags in the villages.
In addition, collections in residential areas are also unsatisfactory.
The idea behind the launch is to implement a collection of successful separate waste.
