Garbage Management helps Lucknow Retain Rank

Lucknow: Support from its citizens not only helps Lucknow Corporation Municipal to maintain 12th place, but also won the “state capital of the lower state of BAWACK residents” in Swach Bharat Survey 2021 which was released by UNION Housing and the Ministry of Urban Affairs on Saturday.
Lucknow gets 4,586 out of 6,000 marks between 48 cities with 10 lakh or the above population assessed in this survey category.
Lucknow ratings have increased for years.
It was placed in 269 in 2017, which increased to 115 in 2018, but fell to 121 in 2019 before leaps to rank 12 years ago.
The Civic’s body gets “the best state capital under citizen feedback” because of the maximum Lucknow citizen participation in providing voluntary online feedback during the survey compared to other cities in the category.
Evaluation was carried out under three LMC parameters and performance increased in all parameters this year compared to last year’s assessment.
LMC gets highest – 1,549 of 1,800 marks – in parameters’ citizen feedback where people participate by registering and answering questions related to Civic services on ‘Lucknow One App’.
In the service level progress parameters, LMC scored 1,936 from 2,400 marks.
This parameter includes the assessment of intelligent and new technology introduced by the Civic Agency for years to improve life conditions.
In certification parameters, LMC scored 1,101 of 1,800 marks.
This means that there is a significant increase in waste management and making the city defecation free of defecation.
In the waste management sub-category, Lucknow received three stars (600 of 900 marks) and in ODF, the city received ODF ++ status, which means 500 of 900 values.
Mayor Sanyucta Bhatia and Commissioner of the City of Ajay Dwivedi are presented with their mensions to provide the status of the city of GFC and ODF ++ in the function of “Swachh Amrit Mahotsav” held in New Delhi.
The Swachh Bharat survey report was also released on that occasion.
“Even with limited resources and covid pandemic, never-ending support from the public we have made us maintain a place.
We will continue to improve service to our city,” said Mayor Toi.
