Ranchi: Jharkhand continues to roll under cold winter on Friday with Garhwa to be the coldest district of the state, recording the lowest minimum temperature of 5.7 degrees Celsius.
Even the maximum temperature here is recorded at 20.1 degrees is the lowest in circumstances.
With the negative departure of 3.4 notch, Daltonganj recorded 6.5 degrees Celsius as a minimum and 22.8 degrees C maximum which also 3.9 notches below normal.
At the minimum and maximum temperatures in Ranchi were also observed from the previous day.
The maximum temperature at 20.2 degrees C is 3.9 notches below normal while the minimum temperature at 6.6 degrees C is also 3.7 notches below normal.
Because light wind blows from the early hours of the day, the temperature of the nuances in Ranchi are even lower.
People in rural areas complain with extreme cold, especially during the morning hours.
Scientist in Ranchi IMD, Abhishek Anand, said there might be a difference between 2-3 degrees in the temperature recorded in urban areas and rural areas, especially where there are fewer concrete trees and more.
“Our automatic weather station in Kanke was broken and because of Covid and Lockdown, it hasn’t been fixed but we can assume that the temperature in Ranchi / Kanke’s countryside can be several levels below the temperature recorded in Ranchi,” he said.
