Visakhapatnam: A minor incident of gas leakage at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) created panic among the workers and also the surrounding area on Wednesday night.
Hundreds of workers came out of plants suddenly creating tensions in the area.
According to preliminary information, a small number of LPG gas leaked from the raw distillation unit (CDU) 2 at the factory between 13:30 and 14:00.
The HPCL authority warns workers and sound alarm.
After hearing the siren, people from the surrounding area panicked out on the streets.
Remember that the same incident occurred in the raw distillation unit 3 last month.
The HPCL authority said that it was a minor incident and a technical team along with firefighters flowing profusely and controlling it within 10 minutes.
