Chennai: BJP President Tamil Nadu Unit K Annamalai on Thursday demanded an investigation by the National Investigation Agency (Nia) to “a bigger conspiracy behind” a gasoline bomb that sprayed the incident at the party’s head office – Kamalalayam – in Chennai.
He alleged that the Wing of the State Intelligence, who reported to the Minister of Tamil Nadu, has made use of his telephone calls illegally.
“Wing Intelligence TN has carried out illegal supervision to me,” said Annamalai and added that there was a need to investigate the high-level committees monitored by the High Court into illegal supervision and telephone tapping.
He said the accusation was based on data driven by solid evidence.
The state police subdued a man, who was identified as Vinod Kumar, because he threw a gasoline bomb (bottle of liquor filled with gasoline) at the BJP headquarters at Chennai’s T Nagar.
