Chennai: The Greater Chennai Corporation will provide a free medical kit for everyone who takes the RT-PCR test for Covid-19.
The kit will be given before the arrival of the results.
Corporate Commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi on Saturday said the medical kit would include ZYNC tablets, paracetamol, tablet vitamin C, azithromycin and mask.
“This step is to reduce the patient’s symptoms even before the results arrive,” said Commissioner.
The corporate staff will be intimacy by UPHC and private laboratories in the details of patients who take RT-PCR tests, and a corporate volunteer will visit the patient’s home to provide a kit.
Previously, the Civic body only gave a medical kit to covid positive patients.
