GCCI appeals to the government to release CESS in the land cargo

Panaji: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Goa (GCCI) on Wednesday asked the Minister of Transportation Mauvin Godinho to release the improvement of cave repairs and welfare on the cargo that was moved through inland and coastal vessels.
GCCI also asked the Minister to improve road connectivity to the public and private pier, which will provide encouragement to the shipping and logistics sector.
The transportation department collects increased rural caves and CESS welfare on cargo such as minerals, in addition to iron ore and coal imported and transported in Goa.

GCCI claims that Godinho understood concern and convincing delegates that concerned them would be handled.
Treasurer of GCCI Chandrakanant Anvoy, Amonkar and Mandrekar met Godinho and filed a written appeal where they also said that the public and private dock had a “serious problem” regarding the connectivity of the first and last road.
“GCCI recommends identifying such a dock in Goa and expanding the road approach to such a dock along with other infrars, such as power and water supply for fluent cargo movements in the country,” Amonkar said.
Godinho said that he always worked to improve the economy of Goan and would provide the infrastructure and support needed for the industry.
