NEW DELHI: Chief of Minister Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot met with President Congress Sonia Gandhi here on Thursday and the two leaders were studied to discuss the political situation and overcoming cabinet to come in the state.
Gehlot Met Congress General Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, along with Secretary General AICC responsible for Rajasthan Ajay Maken and Secretary General of AICC KC Venugopal, at the Head of the Party Residence Rahul Gandhi was here on Wednesday night and held a long discussion on the cabinet reshuffle in the state.
The big reshuffle is on the card in Rajasthan in the next few days and the various modalities are being worked by adopting a formula “one, one post” while considering appointments in the cabinet, the source said.
Gehlot then told reporters that the High-Command Congress will decide on reshuffle and Maken has all the information about it.
He said the party wanted a good government to continue in the state.
Gehlot said the center further must reduce customs clearance on gasoline and diesel and the countries will follow the lawsuit by reducing VAT.
Rajasthan is not among countries that have reduced VAT on gasoline and diesel so far after the center reduces customs of Rs 10 per liter on gasoline and as much as RELI on Diesel.
Pointing towards the price of spiral fuel, Gehlot urges the center to support countries by reducing taxes on it.
