New Delhi: Chief Minister Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday met the leaders of the senior Congress here for the possibility of expansion of his cabinet and accommodating all part of the party, including those from the Sachin Pilot Camp, said the source.
The big reshuffle in Rajasthan is on the card in the next few days and the various modalities are being done by adopting a formula “one person, one post” while considering appointments in the cabinet, they said.
Gehlot met all Indian Congress Committee Secretary General Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at the residence of Rahul Gandhi, where the Secretary General of the Ajay Party Maken and K C C Venugopal was also present, they added.
The discussion lasted about three hours, according to the source.
However, Rahul Gandhi was not present, they said.
After the meeting, Maken told reporters, “We discussed the political situation in Rajasthan.
We discussed the roadmap to ensure that Congress returned to power in the next assembly selection.” “We also discussed the good performance of the congress in the assembly recently concluded by the election in the state,” he added.
Maken, who is the Secretary General responsible for party affairs in Rajasthan, saying there are a number of problems that must be discussed with the chairman of the Minister and the Roadmap is now clear.
The cabinet expansion in Rajasthan was late because many in the rival camp Gehlot looked for accommodation in the cabinet.
Recently, the former deputy chairman of the Minister Rajasthan also met Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to discuss his future and accommodation of several loyalists in Rajasthan Cabinet.
Congress managed to save the state government in Rajasthan after the pilot had rebelled against Gehlot last year for differences.
He was then removed as Deputy Minister of Chief and was replaced as the Head of the State Congress by Govind Singh Dotasra.
