Jaipur: Head of Minister Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot has undergone angioplasty at SMS Hospital in Jaipur on Friday.
“There is a 90 percent blockage in one of his coronary arteries and one stent was invested successfully.
He was really fine,” said Dr.
Sudhir Bhandari, Principal of Medical College SMS, told reporters.
Three ministers of the 70-year-old minister had tested the positive Coronavirus in April this year, and since it faces post-covid complications.
Gehlot had canceled his trip to Delhi last night to discuss with the high command command on the cabinet reshuffle and political promises for health reasons.
Dr.
Bhandari said Gehlot complained about his chest and pain in the neck after the ECG was done and it was normal.
“However, we monitor everything very closely and advise him to complete CT angiography and discords detected.
He agrees and the procedure is done.
Because there is a 90 percent blockage, one stent is placed,” said Dr.
Bhandari.
He said Gehlot expressed confidence and faith in the TEAM AND INFRASTRUCTURE SMS Hospital.
“He was cheerful,” said Dr.
Bandari, added that the minister’s chairman had suggested a total break for two-three days.
He said Gehlot was registered as a common citizen in the Rajasthan (RGHS) government health scheme and completing angioplasty.
Previously on that day, Gehlot had tweeted that he would undergo angioplasty procedure.
“Post Covid19, I experienced health problems and since yesterday, I experienced severe pain in my chest.
Just finished my CT angiography at SMS and Angioplasty Hospital would be done,” he said.
“I am happy that I finish it at the SMS Hospital.
I am fine and will be back soon.
Thanks to you and good hope is with me,” he said angioplasty is a procedure for opening a clogged heart artery.
Gehlot was accompanied by a hospital by the Minister of Health Raghu Sharma, Chief Whip Mahesh Joshi, Mla Rafiq Khan and other officials from his office.
Governor Kalaraj Mishra spoke with Gehlot on the phone and hoped he would recover quickly.
Former Deputy Pilot CM Sachin was also called Health Minister Sharma and the son of Vaibhav Gehlot’s head minister and asked about his health condition.
Pilot hopes Gehlot fast recovery.
