Thiruvananthapuram: Education Minister V Sivankutty said here on Sunday that gender justice will be ascertained in the general education sector.
He was talking to people after the inauguration of the newly built auditorium in higher government secondary schools in Karicor.
He also talked about future changes that will take place in the next academic year.
The Minister added that the curriculum for the next academic year would include the topic to instill secularism, facts about the constitution, agriculture and awareness of dowry.
“The public education system in Kerala is for extraordinary phase changes.
The Ministry of Education has decided to bring change in the academic syllabus.
From the next academic year and so on, the subject that develops social awareness to students will be included in the curriculum,” he said.
School auditorium was built at a cost of Rs 25 Lakh according to the annual plan of the city of Nedumangad.
Minister of Food and Civil Equipment G R Anil said that the public education system was on the correct development route.
He added that the quality of education in government schools can be increased and seven lakh students can be brought back to government schools.
