General Major Donahue: The last US army to leave AFG
Written by news2in

The 20-year-old American war in Afghanistan finally ended.
A giant C-17 transportation and the US Ambassador flew out of Kabul airport per minute before midnight local time on August 31, the deadline set by President Joe Biden.
The celebration of shots echoed across Kabul as Taliban fighters took control of Kabul airport.
“On the last plane coming out was General Chris Donahue, the 82nd Airborne Division Commander, and my strength commander there,” Frank McKenzie, head of the US Central Command, told Warga in the Pentagon.
“And he was accompanied by the Ambassador Ross Wilson.” The US Army shared images taken with the optical night-vision of the last US soldier to step on the final evacuation flight from Kabul – General General Chris Donahue, Airborne 82nd Division Commander.
Donahue is a graduate of the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.
He was sent to Afghanistan this month to facilitate the withdrawal of American troops.
