Genome studies do not find omicron strains in 288 samples

Bhubaneswar: Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) on Sunday said the Omicron variant of Covid-19 was not detected in the sequencing of the Genome 288 samples again.
ILS said at all 657 samples had undergone a genome sequencing because the over omicron warning was removed and no one was detected with a variant.
“All samples have revealed the Delta variant – B617.2, AY4.2 and AY4.4 – So far.

Although health authorities have not determined how much samples return from risky countries have been sent to sequencing genomes, they say 4,021 returns (both from risky and non-risk countries) have arrived in Odisha since November 29.
