German helicopters are ready to join Kabul Airlifts, Italy said it evacuated nearly 1,000 Afghans for the last 5 days

Berlin / The Hague / Milan / Bucharest: Two small German military helicopters sent to Kabul in a step coordinated with the United States have gathered and ready to act on Saturday, German officials said.
The idea is to use it in Kabul if individual refugees need to be picked up by a helicopter and taken to the airport.
But the top German military commander, General Eberhard Zorn, said there were no concrete plans for their spread.
“The situation remains difficult at the airport gate in the Afghan capital.
The number of people spent by German aircraft has varied,” Zorn said.
A German flight arrived at Tashkent on Friday night with 172 evacuees on board, but the next two flights – also with the Airbus A400M – each only seven and eight people.
Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer said Germany has so far evacuated nearly 2,000 people.
“The situation is difficult, but with our abilities and everything that appears on the ground, we will continue to take as much as possible,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Dutch Ministry of Defense said that Afghanistan’s first group was evacuated from Kabul on a military transport aircraft arrived in the North Netherlands which had been converted into a temporary accommodation center.
The ministry said Friday that a group of 28 Afghans had been brought to the center at Zoutcamp, a small village, about 180 km north of Amsterdam.
The Dutch authority said they had so far managed five flights from Kabul with nearly 300 passengers.
It is not clear how many of them are Afghans.
The Dutch government tried to evacuate the citizens of Afghanistan and their families who worked for the country’s military during its spread and for embassies and staff in aid projects.
On the other hand, Italy said his military had evacuated nearly 1,000 Afghans from Kabul for the past five days.
The Ministry of Defense said that two flights carrying 207 Afghanistan arrived Saturday in Rome from Kuwait, Italy used as a staging place for Kabul’s evacuation.
Italy had mobilized more than 1,500 soldiers and women to operate Airbridge from Kabul to Kuwait on four C130J aircraft, and to transport Evakake for salvation in Italy on four KC767.
Italy began what had been dubbed the Omnia Aquila operation in June, brought to the safety of 1,532 Afghans to date.
Eighty, including 33 women, arrived on Saturday at the base in South Tyrol, North Italy, for Covid 10 days quarantine.
In a video distributed by the Ministry, a Afghan man who was brought to the base, thank you, “Italian armed forces, who did not leave us alone in Afghanistan.
With all the difficulties, they took us”.
Without facing the camera, he said the trip took two days.
“We are tired.
We are happy.
We are now in a safe country,” he said, also expressed hope one day “if Afghanistan becomes safe, we can return to our country.” Meanwhile, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that a military plane had evacuated 14 Romanian citizens and four Bulgaria from Kabul Airport to Islamabad.
It was said in a statement on Friday night that other Romanian citizens, a UN employee, could not reach Kabul airport because it would look for a state partner to identify the possibility of an evacuation option.
Authorities said refugees were assisted on arrival by the staff of the Romanian embassy in Pakistan.
It was an evacuation flight of the three Romania this week using a military aircraft C-130 Hercules.
The ministry also said that he had been “validated and contacted.” A number of Afghans collaborated with their troops during their mission in Afghanistan who have expressed the desire to be evacuated to Romania.
But the security of “very difficult” the situation around Kabul airport means that no Afghans can reach the airport.
“In their case”, the Ministry said “(we) will continue to act to identify the evacuation option”.
