German, the death of Belgian floods rose to 157 as continuing

Wassenburg: Rescue workers searched the German parts which were destroyed by flooding and Belgium for the survivors on Saturday after exploding and this week’s flash floods collapsed the house and claimed at least 157 lives.
About 133 people have died in flooding in West Germany, in the worst natural disaster in the country in more than half a century.
It includes around 90 in the South Ahrweiler District of Cologne, according to the police.
Hundreds of people are still missing.
About 700 residents were evacuated at the end of Friday after the dam broke in the city of Wassenberg near Cologne, the authorities said.
“The water level has stabilized since last night, people can say the situation is stable,” said Mayor Mayor Mayor Maurer said.
“It’s still too early to give clear but we are optimistic carefully.” In Belgium, the death toll rises to 24, according to the National Crisis Center, which coordinates rescue efforts.
“Unfortunately, we must assume that this number will continue to increase in the hours and days to come,” said the center in a statement.
About 20 people are still missing.
During the last few days of flooding, most of whom crashed into German countries Rhineland Palatinate and North and East Rhine-Westphalia Belgium, have cut all communities from power and communication.
In the provinces of South Belgian Luxembourg and Namur, the authorities rushed to supply drinking water to the household without a clean supply.
Water level slowly fell in the worst part of Belgium, even though the crisis center said the situation could deteriorate in the afternoon along the Demper River closer to Brussels, with around 10 houses under threat of destruction.
The Rail Belgian Network Operator Infrabel publishes the repair plan to the line, some of which will return in service only at the end of August.
The Netherlands on high warning emergency services in the Netherlands also remained alert when the river that overflowed threatened cities and villages throughout the South Province of Limburg.
Tens of thousands of residents in this region have been evacuated in the last two days, while soldiers, firefighters and volunteers work panicked throughout Friday night to uphold flooding and prevent flooding.
The Netherlands has so far escaped disaster on the scale of its neighbors, and on Saturday morning there were no victims reported.
Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and European Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen will visit Pepinster, where houses are swept away, on Saturday afternoon.
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Armin Laschet, the northern state of Rhine-Westphalia, also scheduled to visit Erftstadt, one of the most difficult torted cities.
Laschet ruled the CDU party candidate in the September general election.
The destruction of floods can intensify the debate over climate change ahead of voting.
Scientists have long said that climate change will cause heavy rain.
But determining its role in this relent stop will take at least a few weeks for research, scientists said on Friday.
