Germany allows to enter 2,000 vulnerable Afghanistan: Report

Berlin: Germany has permitted to enter 2,000 rights activists, artists, scientists, and journalists from Afghanistan who are at risk of being discussed from the Taliban, said Media Monday.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has now begun to issue a permit to enter people appointed as vulnerable by foreign offices, according to the RND newspaper group.
Steve Alter’s Interior Ministry spokesman told reporters in Berlin that security forces would carry out identity checks after the Ministry of Interior Horst Seehofer admitted that people with criminal records were flown to Germany from Kabul.
The German DPA news agency said approximately 2,600 people were at risk and their family members on the list of ministries.
The majority of them remain in Afghanistan or escape to neighboring countries after the Taliban takeover in mid-August.
