Germany Great Gerd Mueller, widely regarded as one of the biggest game scorers and nicknamed “Bomber Der Nation”, has died at the age of 75, said his former club Bayern Munich on Sunday.
“Today is a sad day, black for Bayern and all his fans.
Gerd Mueller is the biggest striker ever and a good person, personality in world football,” said President Bayern Herbert Hembert Hembert, in a statement.
“We are united in sadness with his wife, USChi and his family.
Without Gerd Mueller, Bayern will not be a club that we all love today.
His name and memory will live forever.”
