Germany be careful of ‘contacts’ during Indian visits for JR Hockey WC

New Delhi: Earlier this week, Indian Hockey, after a discussion with a local organizing committee in Odisha and the International Hockey Federation (FIH), decided that the Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup to be held in Bhubaneswar from November 24 to December 5 will be played behind the closed door .
While it is a decision that remembers all the safety and health involved in the tournament, it must be bound to make 15 more careful visit teams during their stay.
Stadiums around the world have begun to open their gate for the crowd in the stands, but the situation in India does not allow it.
The latest example is that of the Indian Premier League 2021 (IPL) and the T20 World Cup.
The IPL was postponed in May and then the second leg was forced to shift to the UAE in September-October.
The same thing happened to the T20 World Cup, which must be held India but there is no other choice but to bring it to the UAE too, while BCCI remains the host council.
The Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup in Bhubaneswar, however, will be played in India as it was decided but in front of a vacant holder at Kalinga Bhubaneswar Stadium.
Khordha Regency, where Bhubaneswar crashed, accounted for 47.91% of active cases in Odisha on October 29.
Organizers thus make a wise decision not to allow the audience.
But it will definitely make the effect of ripple in terms of visitors being very careful.

The Junior World Cup Hoki FIH world starts on November 24 will be held behind closed doors because the committee feels it will be difficult to uphold the Covid-19 protocol if the audience appears in large quantities.
Germany, for example, has planned increased precautions during their trip to India and then stayed here.
“The team already has a very strict hygiene protocol at the time of the pandemic, which is now being done in more detail for travel and adapted to local conditions,” said Christoph Plays, a media officer of the German Federation, in return for Timsofindia.com query.
For their flight to Delhi, the federation has ordered a “compartment” so the players can only sit with teammates and cut close contact with other passengers on the ship.
“For flights, compartments are booked for the team on the plane, so the team sits right next to each other and no other passengers in the middle,” he added.

For subsequent domestic flights from Delhi to Bhubaneswar, Germany has made a special request for “additional hygienic security”.
“In addition, for transfers in Delhi, airport staff have been asked to accompany the team to the next flight to Bhubaneswar and provide additional hygienic security on the way there,” he said without further outlining about it.
The German Federation also made a special request at a hotel where they will stay during the duration of the tournament.
“There is a clear briefing for hotel and hotel staff about contact with the players.
There will be a seat and separate dining room for the team,” said Media Officer without revealing the name of the hotel.
