Berlin: The German military has cupped 2,000 people from Kabul Airport, Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer told reporters on Saturday.
Two lightweight helicopters, sent to Kabul overnight, ready to start the evacuation operation from the city, which will be coordinated with international partners in the field, he added.
The head of the German defense, General Eberhard Zorn, said the German Air Force would transport baby food and hygienic articles needed at the airport to Kabul.
