New Delhi: Starting Wednesday, Germany opened the door for tourists who were fully vaccinated from India – those who had obtained Jab Covishield as Covaxin had not received any agreement – without the need for quarantine.
While Switzerland did the same last month, Germany had stepped forward by accepting evidence of recent recovery from Covid too.
Germany will be from Wednesday to reclassify India, England, Portugal and Russia as “fundamental high (covid)” – down from the level of limiting the higher travel “virus variant area”.
Now, the eligible travelers from India can also transit through Frankfurt to other Schengen countries.
