Berlin: Germany needs to improve testing and increase vaccination to avoid other Covid-19 locking, conservative candidates to replace Angela Merkel when Chancellor said on Tuesday, before the government spoke to curb a new case increase.
Less than seven weeks before the federal, Merkel and leaders of the 16 federal countries will try to agree to the steps to avoid waves of new infections, driven by the distribution of Delta variants, and prevent unpopial restrictions.
“We want and will test more to avoid new kuncians,” said Armin Laschet to the North Rhine-Westphalia Assembly.
Hoping to be a Chancellor after the September 26 election, Laschet was desperate to avoid new restrictions and said Germany had to introduce incentives to encourage more people to vaccinate and also increase mandatory testing.

Germany has recorded more than 3,000 cases a day in the past week, bringing a total of 3.79 million.

The incidence of seven national days rose on Tuesday to 23.5 per 100,000 people, up from 23.1 on Monday.
