Get a covid dose or lose salary: Thane Mayor to the staff

Thane: Thane Municipal Corporation has decided to stop the salaries of employees and contract staff who failed to take even a dose of Covid vaccine until now, said Mayor Naresh Mhaske on Monday.
Employees who have not taken the first injection they have not had to take it earlier while others have not taken seconds after the mandated time gap must get the chance to ensure they do not lose their salary.
This might be the first decision in the state.
Mhaske told MediodPersons on the decision was taken after a meeting with civil heads and senior health officials.
