Gurugram: A team consisting of officials from the Excise Ministry and the Primary Minister’s head forces invaded three Ahatas on Jalan Golf (extension) which illegally served liquor and the taste of Hookah on Saturday.
Two one ahata owner and three other employees were arrested.
Ahatas is a room, generally close to jumping liquor, where someone can sit and consume alcohol.
They can only serve food and snacks and have no permission to serve or sell liquor.
Hookah is also prohibited.
DSP (Flying Squad) Inderjeet Yadav said their team first raided AHATA assistance in sector 56 in early Saturday.
About 50 people were found to consume liquor.
The team then raided the Western Garden Village Café in Sector 62, where more than 10 people were found to consume a hookah taste.
Lakshay Randhawa’s employees, Satyam Nagrajan and Mohammad Imran Khan were arrested, while the owner Shekhar Sharma managed to escape.
In Tiplors in Sector 62, around 20 people were found to consume liquor.
The owner, Akash and Deepak, was arrested.
