Gurugram: The Ministry of Health has directed all city hospitals to order 25% of their beds for covid patients and make units separate for omicron patients.
In the past seven days, Gurgaon has added 316 new Covid cases, with the department anticipating that the availability of beds can be a reason to worry in the coming days.
With 76 patients testing positive on Tuesday, the daily case is likely to rise more than 100.

Each hospital will have separate wings to deal with Omicron patients, “said Virender Yadav, Chief Medical Officer, Gurgaon.
At present, six covid patients are at the city hospital.

The city currently has 75 hospitals that take care of covid patients.
There were 5,653 beds for covid patients, including 669 ICU beds without ventilators and other 327 with ventilators.

Deputy Commissioner Yash Garg said, “We are ready to handle hospitalization 100 beds.
Garg clarified that SGT and Medeor were not a government hospital, and the district administration had not taken their management.

During the district assignment cluster meeting on Tuesday, the administration asked all hospitals to ensure they could handle all types of emergencies.
